Vero Mayor is a fraud

I recently on April 02 gave my daughter for her 7th bday a puppy by the name of buddy or bruno as Mrs Mayor named him 2 days later my dog was severaly ill from diareah and vomit I took him to vet and the vet told me it did not look good my poor baby was in ICU for 2 weeks of his life with us I called Verobull and she blamed me and that i for sure had parvo in my house.My dog has since then had so many health issues i am in debt over my head in medical bills.I am now faced with my dog Buddy needing orthopedic surgery for each knee at $900.00 each he is only 8 months old and i cant afford it tell me Veronica Mayor you call youself a human being how could you live with yourself. I am sobbing and full of tears because I do not know how to tell my two beautiful children that our beloved family member cannot be cared for because we can no longer afford the cost of all his on going surgeries and health care procedures needed to keep him comfortable all becuase some greedy breeder wanted to make money . At 8 months we were faced with saving him 2 days after we got himfor what we thought was Parvo, his hair started to fall out, Cherry Eyes, alergic reactions ect. I dont know how she can sleep knowing she has caused so much pain she will not return my calls, emails or faxes. I dont know what to do please someone give me words of wisdom I feel like a failure.

Very sorry for your Buddy.

Hindsight is 20/20 - you would not buy a puppy from such a breeder again, knowing what you do now. Its a hard learned lesson, but the wisdom you take away will help you when its time for your next bulldog.

The knee surgery you mention may be something you can work around. What I mean is, its not life threatening, and you may be able to call around and find a vet who has a more reasonable rate.

You may also be able to work with a bully rescue in your area - they may be able to refer you to a vet who can work with you (payment plan) or work with you in other ways to keep your boy.

I'm sorry you learned the hard way about bad internet puppy peddlars and pray that you and your family find peace.

You will be somewhat happy to know that she was confronted on TV last night by our local news anchor who HATES animal abusers and unethical breeders. She went to see a puppy undercover and Veronica said she " was getting the last of the litter" yet her attitude changed when our reporter asked the hard hitting questions.
