Well folks,

We can say with 99% certainty that it's going to be a rainy, dreary day so we are going to postpone our annual Bully Birthday Bash. If you have pre-paid, your payment is good for the new date. If you can't make it to the rescheduled date/time below, please remember to update your rsvp so we can estimate the number of attendees!

**We thought we'd try a new time...should allow us a couple of hours before any serious heat sets in. We'll have coffee, tea, oj (and mimosas, perhaps?), bagels, pastries as well as plenty of water/treat bags for the pups! Oh, don't forget - our Proud Parents of Midtown Bulldogs t-shirts will still be on sale for $10 (s,m,l,xl) - bring money so you can represent your group with pride!

Let's keep our fingers crossed that it won't rain on our (rescheduled) parade!

This is the last year that our bullies will be able to attend a ball game at Shea Stadium! Please come out and support the Met's or enjoy a baseball game with your Bullie!

We know there are tons of Yankee fans but at this time, Yankee's do not host a Dog Day at Yankee Stadium!!

SO who cares if you like the Met's or the Yankee's or Boston?just come out, dress your bullie up in Baseball gear, enjoy the game and socialize with the other members of our bulldog meetup!!

We need to get there early as the walk around the field occurs before the game starts! We will bring our banner and we would like to walk as one big group as well as sit together in the stands!!

There is a $8 fee for all dogs and the ticket for adults is $42.00. They also charge a $1 processing fee and if you pay via Amazon there is a $1 processing fee ?So the total for one person with a bulldog will be $51.00 or $52.00 if using Amazon to pay!!!

So far, our bullies have more than doubled the original team goal and we are one of the top 5 teams!

We are planning to meet on the Northwest corner of West 108th Street and Riverside Drive starting at 9AM.
If you could arrive no later than 9:30AM, that would be great. From there, we will head over to register together and begin the walk. If you know any other bulldogs (or other dogs) that would like to join our team, they can register online before tomorrow
(Friday) at noon in order to get the $25 rate. On Sunday, I believe the price goes up to $35.

Hopefully it is a nice day and will be a fun walk for our bullies and their friends!

I hope you and your bullies are ready to step out in style next Saturday evening for our Valentine party!! For those of you who have yet to experience a Proud Parents of Midtown Bulldog party...you won't be disappointed!

Here's the scoop:

Every year we try to do a few things which aren't just for fun but really do something good for all dog and man-kind!! Since Valentine's Day is about showing how much you love those people, and pooches, in your life...we like to treat our little "bully loves" w/ this evening and also help out other pooches (and kitties) who may not be living "the good life" like our little ones!

The Animal Haven Shelter is a no-kill shelter which is privately funded and thrives on charitable donations. This is a very special place and we want to create an alliance between our group and this shelter by making our Valentine party an annual event and raising as much money as possible for this cause! Each year, it is estimated, that 3-5 million domesticated animals are euthanized...these are oftentimes healthy, young animals and they are killed simply because our current government subsidized shelters such as the ASPCA cannot handle the overwhelming amount of animals in need of a home. There are currenly only 135 no-kill animal shelters in the US...as New Yorkers and pet lovers, let's lend a hand! This world needs more places like the AHS and with our continued involvement, we can rest assured that Animal Haven stays around for a long time! Check out their website at http://www.animalhavenshelter.org/ - especially read the "success stories" and you will then know why it is so important to rally around this cause!

Now, onto the really fun stuff!

Please make sure you come early in the evening and don't miss out on all of the great food, drink, decor, games, prizes and company! Hey, we all have one thing in common - our love for our bullies so you might even make a new friend or "more than a friend"...wink, wink!! Remember, we are asking for $20 per person donations at the door so you want to get as much "bang for your buck" as possible!

We will once again be having our Bulldog Races...this will be optional as not all bullies are thoroughbreds! In order to gain a space in the race, we will be asking for a $5 donation per dog at the door (all of which are going to the AHS). We will have a special prize for both the fastest and the slowest dog, so pump your dogs up (or down), get them on the training circuits and make them want that prize!

In addition, make sure you ALL look good as we will have a photo booth along with props that you can use for both bullies and humans alike! No donation requested for this...this is just good, old fashioned fun and is sure to be a riot! We will have prizes for "Best Pose", "Best Use of Props" and "Best Kiss" - yes, that's right folks, if you're willing to give your bully a little lip (or tongue action?), you may walk away with a great prize!

As usual, we will provide plenty of great food and champagne/water/tea for the humans and treats/water for the dogs. If you would like to bring your own beer or wine, please feel free!

Please don't bring your dog's favorite toy as this is an indoor space and the bullies sometimes tend to get a little more wound up (aka: territorial) in an indoor space than the outdoor spaces and they really have a lot of fun just running around together!!

Oh, and if you are having a hard time getting down to SoHo, try posting a message stating what part of town you live in and see if anyone can give you a lift! If all else fails, call the Pet Chauffer - 718.852.1767 - they can hold up to three dogs and three people in one van so you might be able to share with one of your fellow group members!

Hi to all of our fellow bully lovers and bullies!!

Are you all ready for our 2nd annual Bully Halloween Costume Party?!?! Lina and I have been in serious planning mode and all I can say is...you all are in for a GREAT time!

There will be lots of fun, themed treats and drinks (for humans and bullies alike!). We are going to have a halloween costume contest for the bulldogs and also a prize will be given, this year, to the best human or family/bulldog costume combination (we'll leave that to your wild imaginations!). Also, we will be having a "Trick for Treat" contest so get all of those wonderful tricks and skills honed for what is sure to be an hysterical event!!

Keep in mind that we still have plenty of Proud Parents of Midtown Bulldogs T-shirts available in all sizes for $10 ea. We will be sure to bring them so that you all can properly represent the BEST bulldog meetup group - move over Brooklyn Bulldogs!!

One more thing...we are requesting a donation to our group of $10 per human for event attendance. As our group grows and our "grand plans" grow, so does our budget! We want to be able to continue to provide fun, social experiences for all!!
